A magical ride into the Wild West to celebrate Founders Day

On Friday 2nd of August, the Amplicon team marked another year of business with a lively wild west themed Founders Day celebration. The team was treated to a surprise stop at Bolney Wine Estate for a 90-minute wine tasting experience and winery tour. The team savoured five of their delicious wines and enjoyed an array of complimentary local cheeses. 

Following the tasting, the team was escorted to Chapel Barn, a traditional 600 year old barn set in the heart of the countryside in Mid-Sussex. On arrival to the beautiful venue the team was served a sit-down BBQ feast fit for a cowboy/cowgirl! 

At 4pm the much-awaited Amplicon Oscars ceremony took place.  Big congratulations to Jastine Esteban (International Sales Engineer) for winning the People's Choice Award, Andy Pook (QA & Product Specialist Lead) for winning the Outstanding Performance Award and Cameron Munson (Application Engineer & Manufacturing Lead) for winning the Outstanding Performance Runner-up Award. Special recognition was also given to Simon Shoobridge (Purchasing & Production Lead), and Rafeeq Najeebudeen (Business Support Engineer).  

The Amplicon Oscars also celebrated the outstanding achievements of our two Senior Sales Managers, Darren Saxby and Richard Munson, for each securing over a million-pound worth of orders in the past financial year. 

As an end to the glorious day, Team Amplicon took part in a country line dancing class accompanied by a live band. The dance floor was busy at all times, with some members of the team showing off some incredible wild west dance moves and of course their western themed outfits. Special thanks to the caller for the patience and fun choreographies, which got everyone involved and engaged. 

What a successful year filled with numerous accomplishments and reasons to rejoice. Here's to looking forward to 2024-2025!
