Introducing the new InfiniiVision HD3 Series Oscilloscope

Amplicon is thrilled to announce the release of the new Keysight InfiniiVision HD3 series oscilloscope, a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) oscilloscope delivering four times the signal resolution and half the injected noise of other general-purpose oscilloscopes.

The InfiniiVision HD3 Series oscilloscope enables you to capture small signals more accurately than ever before with its low noise front-end and 14-bit ADC. This offers you 4x more vertical resolution relative to other 12-bit oscilloscopes. Combine this with the uncompromised waveform update rate, powerful new features such as Fault Hunter, deep memory, and hardware accelerated testing, and the HD3 Series is the perfect oscilloscope for your applications.

The HD3 oscilloscope has a wide range of capabilities including a hardware-based decoding which results in increased responsiveness. This decoding is paired with a segmented memory which benefits you through saving time, allowing precise time-tagging between frames, and decoding of all frames rather than only viewing the whole memory. The resolution and displays have been improved with a larger display than the Keysight 3000G Oscilloscope and shows analysis side-by-side with data, through a Lister display.

HD3 key features at a glance:

  • Increase vertical resolution by four times with a 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
  • See smaller signals with a 50 µVRMS noise floor.
  • Find signal glitches with an uncompromised 1.3 M waveform / second update rate.
  • Capture longer time spans at full sample rate with 100 Mpts of deep memory.
  • Display up to four independent signals and control the scaling individually.
  • Isolate signals in seconds with zone triggering — simply draw a box on the screen.
  • Characterise signals, hunt for errors, and save automatically with Keysight Fault Hunter.
  • Perform advanced analysis with fast Fourier transforms, histograms, and Bode plots.

Benefits of the HD3 series:

14-bit ADC delivering four times the resolution: A key component in achieving high vertical accuracy is the ADC. A higher number of ADC bits means more vertical resolution, translating to more accurate signal representation.

Capture smaller signals with a 50 µVRMS noise floor: The Keysight InfiniiVision HD3 sets a new benchmark in noise floor performance with a 50 µVRMS noise floor at full 1 GHz bandwidth. You can further reduce the noise with bandwidth limiting and waveform averaging options on the HD3.

Advanced analysis: Automate complex measurements with advanced software capabilities. Convert time-domain signals into frequency-domain signals using a fast Fourier transform (FFT), Compare signals to pre-defined templates for quick pass / fail analysis with mask testing, analyse the statistical distribution of jitter and noise with waveform and measurement histograms, Perform frequency response analysis with Bode plots, Isolate signals in seconds with zone touch triggering, Characterise signals, hunt for errors, and save them automatically with Fault Hunter.

7-in-1 instrument: More than an oscilloscope, the HD3 helps you save valuable bench space, providing more capabilities in the same footprint by enabling additional instrument integration.

Probes for every application: Start today with the probes that come standard with the HD3 oscilloscope.
