The new rackmount Ventrix expansion system supports up to seven PCI, PCI Express and six PCI-X plug-in cards; this will provide the ability to add additional PCI slots to workstations, servers, PC notebooks, and Apple PowerBooks. The Ventrix expansion system uses the same high performance chassis as our industrial PC's and features a high quality industrial power supply, fans and filters making them ideal for applications in harsh environments such as transportation and military COTS.

Another key advantage to this system is we can now house up to six Pro Tools® PCI-based HD Core, HD Accel, and HD Process cards, making it ideal for use with Apple MAC Pro systems.

The Amplicon Ventrix expansion systems are suitable for use in the following:

	Delivering additional expansion to existing systems
	Suitable for card development platforms and test rigs

Amplicon introduces the new Agilent 53200 Series RF & Universal Frequency Counter/Timers.

Featuring industry-leading performance and usability; the 53200 Series is built with standard computing I/O for ease of connectivity and data collection. The combination of high-speed measurement and built-in analysis provides new functionality previously unavailable in basic frequency counter/timers.

LXI/Ethernet and USB 2.0 are standard features, making it quick and simple to connect to a PC test system or a network. The 53200 Series includes internal memory of 1M readings and supports a USB memory stick, making storing and retrieving data from the counter both fast and easy.

The 53200's optional battery supports remote usage and maintenance of accurate measurements by keeping the time base warm at all times.

During the past month Amplicon international has launched an exciting new web presence.

With the recent success of our international sales team and the ever increasing demand for the Amplicon product portfolio it was important to demonstrate our global presence. This was further improved by the opening of our new distribution offices in Amplicon France and Amplicon Middle East.

The importance of a global manufacturer can only be demonstrated by delivering local support both web and sales office based. This year should see an increasing number of Amplicon international offices, improved marketing resources and of course a bigger international sales team.

Kathryn is Amplicon's buyer and has been with the company for nearly 7 years. Although starting with the company as our Customer Service Administrator, it was soon realised that her true talent lay elsewhere!

After 6 months she moved into the purchasing department, making use of her previous experience on the other side of the fence! She was trained by the Amplicon CEO, a purchasing professional, to fully develop her buying skill set and today she has a trainee of her own.
