SNMP MIB-II capability offers full network management control
SMTP provides automated e-mails in fault situations
HTTP allows web browser configuration
DNS allows individual NPort units to be identified by domain name as well as IP address
NTP allows a time stamp to be added to the Ethernet frame at creation, so that events can be accurately timed regardless of network latencies
*NPort 51xx models do not have terminal blocks
