Amplicon was approached to provide a small and compact embedded PC that could operate in an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.

The company required a system suitable for 24/7 outdoor operation with a processor powerful enough to support image processing and number place recognision using a fanless industrial computer solution. With seasonal road temperatures ranging from -15° to +50°, a small and extremely rugged device was required.

The Impact-P 100A has been specifically designed for these type of environments. Its fanless rugged design, and built-to-last componets allow the system to withstand variable temperatures throughout the day and night.

Powered by the superb Intel® ATOM™ Apollo Lake processor, the Impact-P provides 4K immersive graphics and fast video acceleration, making it an exceptional solution for demanding media output tasks run in ANPR systems.
